IRS Publishes Forms 1095-B & C for TY24

1095 C TY24

The IRS has published the TY2024 ACA Compliance & Reporting templates for employee FORM 1095-B and FORM 1095-C. The TY24 deadlines for distributing these forms to employees and for filing to the IRS are as follows:

Forms 1095 Distribution Deadline: March 3, 2025
FORMS 1095 IRS E-Filing Deadline: March 31, 2025

FORMS 1095 & STATE-MANDATED ACA REPORTING
Of the eleven US states to have passed their own ACA mandates requiring residents to purchase and maintain qualifying health insurance, four require the distribution of FORMS 1095 to employees. These states are California, District of Columbia, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.

Vermont is not on this list, but the federal requirement for employers to distribute FORMS 1095 remains in place

Massachusetts has its own FORM 1099-HC, which is typically furnished to employees by the plan provider.
