Gen AI: Benefits or Pitfalls for Regtech?

According to Fintech Global, Generative AI heralds “huge disruption around technological and operational systems regardless of the industry, [and] the ongoing soaring rise of Gen AI is proving a hot-rod for innovation.”

For regtech, AI will undoubtedly have a growing role to play. But smart tech analyzing content and data for compliance and accuracy must not be confused with the more colorful uses of Gen AI grabbing buzzy headlines.

Fintech Global hosts an interesting discussion on how Gen AI within regtech will continue to require methods combining “rules-based, machine-learning and automation” with human expertise and oversight as well as “clear documentation and auditability at each step.”
